|Improve Scientific and Technical Advices for Fisheries Management||
Valerie Harscoat is a software engineer awarded a diploma in 1993 by the "Conservatoire National des Arts et MĂ©tiers". She has worked for 20 years at IFREMER, thereby developing great experience in the management of marine databases. From 2001 to 2002, she was head of the "Cersat" satellite data centre where she developed value-added products combining the data from several sensors, in liaison with a team of scientists. She is now in charge of all the software specifications and developments for the fisheries information system that manages the production and landings data of French fisheries, economic surveys and environmental measurements collected during each scientific trawling survey.
