Emilie Leblond has been a fisheries scientist at Ifremer since 2001. She takes part in Ifremer's Fisheries Observatory (“Fisheries Information System”) and is especially in charge of the network of surveyors. The aim of the FIS of Ifremer is to collect data on French fisheries in strong collaboration with fishermen and administration, to provide a regular monitoring of the fleet activity (catches, fishing activities, fishing effort, economic indicators, etc) and to put data and indicators at the disposal of scientists, fishermen, stakeholders and the general public. She has gained experience in the setting up of information system and production of standardized synopses on fleet activities and characteristics.
