Christos Floros is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Portsmouth. He is also a Researcher at CEMARE (University of Portsmouth) since January 2003. His PhD in Economics is from the University of Wales Swansea. Christos currently is a co-ordinator of a research project on Â‘Technical Efficiency for Fisheries in GreeceÂ’, which is funded from the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food. He was involved as a modelling and programming analyst for the DGXII Research Programme PECHDEV Â“General Equilibrium Model applied to maritime activities contribution to Regional DevelopmentÂ” (Feb. 2002-Jan. 2005). Christos has participated at the 2nd Advanced Course on Computable General Equilibrium Modelling (CGE) and the Environment, a joint programme of the Beijer International Institute of Ecological Economics and the Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy in Africa (CEEPA). He has published and presented a number of research papers in Quantitative Economics-Econometrics and Applied Mathematics.
