|Improve Scientific and Technical Advices for Fisheries Management||
Hicham Masski is head of the "Databases management" laboratory at INRH whose role is the development of systems of monitoring commercial landings and the fisheries and geographical information systems. After a doctoral thesis on the identification of the spawning grounds of turbot and sea bass in Western English Channel submitted in 1996 while working at IFREMER, he remained there for more two years as a post doctoral fellow working on Fishing and biotechnology Â– Economic development of marine products Â– before joining INRH in 1999. His research subjects are fish nomenclature and statistical systems, exploited communities and biodiversity and fishing.
